Meet Business Owner, Andrew
I have been in the plumbing industry since I was 16 years old. I have worked throughout the Wellington and Wairarapa regions during my training. After achieving my certifying qualifications I started out on my own with the goal to deliver high quality service and workmanship to the area I grew up in.
Since starting out the business has grown from just myself to a team of 10 awesome staff, constantly increasing our services to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers.
Growth & Diversification
One of issues that had been identified with our business growth was that we were facing scheduling restrictions caused by needing to wait on electrical companies to complete there work for us to be able to finish some of our projects. When the opportunity arose to buy an electrical company and hence offer electrical services in-house and manage the scheduling , I jumped at it!
We have further increased our offering with the addition of heat pump installs, made possible with the electrical staff now on board at A&K.
Across Wairarapa, Kapiti and Greater Wellington
As I grew up between Wellington and the Wairarapa, I wanted to offer services to my home region. We have staff based in Upper Hutt servicing the Hutt Valley and Wellington, and over to the Kapiti coast and Porirua. We also have staff based throughout the Wairarapa servicing Featherston, Greytown, Martinborough, Carterton and through to Masterton – and not forgetting all the rural and coastal areas in-between.
As part of our work with one of our transportable building companies, we also have staff on the road who have travelled as far as Auckland in the North and Picton in the South.
